Project of the Year: Interior
The concept behind the $12 million fit-out of the
New York law offices of Reed Smith LLP was to let
the space itself be a work of art, rather than relying on decoration. Custom-made olive wood panels designed to resemble woven fabric lined the hallways along with glossy lacquer panels and Japanese rice paper glass panels.
RDA designed modular, water cooled chillers for supplemental air conditioning. The advantages are dedicated fan coil units for each conference room
with low noise levels and excellent temperature control, diversity inherent to a chilled water system and efficient power distribution to the localized compressors versus compressor loads throughout
the floor.
Robert Derector Associates is proud to be part of a team that created a space that is beautiful inside and out.
