Because he has both a level of experience and a sheer depth of knowledge that is hard to match, Alfred Pang is often given some of RDA’s most challenging projects. Alfred’s guiding philosophy in his work is that maximizing understanding between client and engineer during the design development phase of a project greatly enhances quality in the construction documents, thereby minimizes the possibility of unforeseen construction costs, and ultimately results in the client achieving all design goals proposed in the communication process.

Among the clients for whom he has provided services are: Lord Abbett, Thomson Financial, IXIS, CIT, Standard Chartered Bank, United Federation of Teachers and Ernst & Young.

The strength of this philosophy is easy to see in the quality of his work, including building modernization, trading and brokerage firm installation, central chiller plant/ cooling tower plant upgrade, economic and cost/benefit analysis, data center cooling systems, smoke control systems, and VAV conversion.

Alfred holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Mechanical Engineering from The Cooper Union School of Engineering. He began his career as an HVAC design engineer in 1984 and began his tenure at RDA in 1989. In addition to his successful client work, Alfred is a valued member of RDA’s Quality Control Committee.
