As a result of his years in the field as an installing contractor for electrical and fire suppression installations, Dan Benjamin brings a unique, hands-on approach to his work not only as a designer and project engineer but also as a studio leader and Quality Control Committee member. Dan’s areas of specialization include design of trading facilities, computer rooms, banking facilities, advanced lighting, critical power distribution systems, and disaster recovery facilities.

Since joining RDA in 1984, Dan’s ongoing client relationships have included assignments for Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, Condé Nast, NYMEX, BlackRock, Lehman Brothers and Alliance Bernstein. His experience as a contractor, broadened by his engineering experience, allows Dan to be an effective administrator with regard to project cost control.

Dan graduated from the Bucharest Construction Institute, where he was awarded both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. He is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.
