With over 20 years of experience, Steven has a long resume of infrastructure, commercial interior and high technology design and project management assignments. He began his career at Robert Derector Associates in 1998 and, as with his other partners, was promoted from within to become a partner of the firm.

Steven has spent the last few years concentrating in the Mission Critical sector and is the Partner in Charge of the Mechanical arm of the studio. Steven’s broad spectrum of experience includes project management, quality control during the design and construction process, LEED
analysis and design, evaluations and troubleshooting, and commissioning. Steven prides himself on closely overseeing a project from initial inception through to the final contractor’s punch list.

A licensed mechanical engineer, Steven holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Fordham University.
More than just a member, Steven is also a frequent lecturer and former
President of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers.
