Senior Electrical Engineer
Job Responsibilities
Engineer Tasks

  • Managing all aspects of electrical design projects including equipment selection and specifications, system design, layout, calculations and field visits with minimal supervision.
  • Load calculations, lighting and power circuiting, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design system layout, field investigations, construction administration and quality control.
  • Preparation of due diligence, and feasibility reports.
  • Perform project management, interface with clients and attend meetings and presentations. Oversight of the profitability of production.
    Oversight of support personnel and design engineers, supervising  2 - 6 members of an electrical studio.
  • Your technical expertise must be complemented by self motivation and strong communication skills and presentation skills.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10-15 years experience consulting engineering experience a minimum 5 years supervisory experience required.
  • Thorough familiarity and understanding of critical systems and data center.
  • Knowledge of Critical Facilities, emergency generators and UPS design
  • Thorough understanding of local codes.
  • Ability to perform site evaluations.
  • Thorough understanding of local codes.
  • Field trouble-shooting skills.
  • Ability to perform quality control review of contract documents.
  • PE license is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working in Autocadd, Revit or other BIM delivery methods is a plus.

Electrical Commissioning Agent
Job Responsibilities
Engineer Tasks

  • The position will require both field work with client contact and the ability to perform all aspects of commissioning from the writing of procedures, to testing various electrical systems such as UPS systems, generators, ASTSs and PDUs.
  • Prepare basic deliverables and products including calculations, drawings, test procedures, scheduling plans and specifications.
  • Ability to evaluate fundamental engineering guidelines, code compliance requirements and industry standards.
  • Examine field conditions as required to support development and completion of projects.
  • Good working knowledge of general building construction including engineered systems is essential.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Assist in the preparation of commissioning specifications and basis of design documents.
  • Assist during design and submittal reviews.
  • Assist the functional testing and verification of equipment and systems in the field.
  • Assist in developing proposals and responses to RFPs on commissioning projects.
  • Assist in the documentation processes and assist in the development of procedures related to commissioning activities.
  • Have the ability to work nights and weekends periodically in support of the client's scheduling requirements.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering , Construction or Engineering Program.
  • 10 years experience in commissioning data center or critical facilities.
  • Knowledge of  equipment testing.
  • Experience or familiar with commissioning requirements of LEED and LEED AP certification and/or other industy certification are a plus.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills.

BIM Manager

Job Responsibilities
BIM Support Tasks

  • Develop and implement REVIT and AutoCAD Standards Manuals as well as REVIT desktop support.
  • Daily model management administration and maintenance.
  • Create initial REVIT Project model and setup with workflow documents.
  • Develop REVIT content including families, templates, schedules and details for all trades.
  • Over the shoulder training, developing and shadowing to staff.
  • Manage the REVIT workflow for all jobs at a high level.
  • Assist engineers from all disciplines in coordination meetings and tasks.
  • Work with each disciplines’ vendors on content download and update to RDA Standards.
  • Be a resource for design engineers on project specific tasks.
  • When requested, attend presentations and coordination meetings with consultants and clients.
  • Perform design tasks in area of design experience (mechanical or electrical).
  • Work in conjunction with our Network Manager and IT group to manage the REVIT software and hardware requirements.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 3-5 years consulting engineering experience (knowledge of multiple trades is a plus).
  • Expertise and prior experience in Autodesk REVIT MEP and AutoCAD is a must.
  • Experience in training & mentoring other engineers is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Naviswork is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be an effective communicator and have good presentation and writing skills.
  • Eager to support staff with positive attitude and patience.
  • Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion.
  • Utilize skills to fit the RDA infrastructure and standards as necessary.
  • Working knowledge of design industry workflows, production cycle and priorities.

  • Managing all aspects of electrical and mechanical design for 20-150 Million dollar projects including equipment selection and specifications, system design, layout, calculations and on-site construction administration.
  • Exhaust point calculations, reliability evaluations, low and medium voltage power distribution, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design system layout, field investigations, construction administration and quality control.
  • Preparation of due diligence, feasibility reports.
  • Perform project management, interface with clients and attend meetings and business development acitivities such as presentations and proposals. Manage projects to meet budget goals.  
  • Lead multi-discipline project teams.
  • Manage the REVIT workflow for all jobs at a high level.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years consulting engineering experience with ability to lead multi-discipline project teams.
  • Thorough experience in the design, operation and maintenance of modern data center infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of multi-machine generator, chiller and UPS plants, power monitoring and Building management systems. 
  • Thorough understanding of national codes.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Familiarity with computational fluid dynamics, probabilistic reliabilty asessments and power system modeling techniques.
  • Must be an effective communicator and team player.
  • PE license is preferred but not required.
