Klein Campus Center
at the Dwight-Englewood School
Englewood, NJ

This project consisted of the design of a 40,000 square foot new building situated between two existing structures on the Dwight Englewood School Campus. The facility was built with connecting wings to the existing buildings to create a single entity. The Klein Center houses classrooms, sound proof practice rooms, rehearsal rooms for choir and orchestra, a full gymnasium and a 250 seat auditorium/multi-purpose room. In addition, an existing auditorium was provided with air conditioning and the existing cafeteria was given a full modernization.

Air conditioning to the Klein Center is provided through rooftop air cooled chillers and a series of variable volume chilled water air handlers. Heating is provided through a combination of baseboard convectors and hot water coils in the air handlers. The air handlers are also capable of using 100% outside air for free cooling whenever conditions permit. The installation also included all new electric, domestic water, sprinkler and fire alarm systems.

The Klein Center features a wireless network designed by Robert Derector Telecommunications that provides internet access for faculty and students.
