From 1000-point microprocessor-based direct digital control systems, to chemical laboratory fume-hood exhaust and make up systems, to commercial renovations of boiler/chiller plants and tenant fit-outs, Steven Stein’s engineering design and project management skills are diverse to say the least. He began his career at Robert Derector Associates in 1998 as an Associate of the firm.

Steven’s broad spectrum of experience with commercial, educational, hospital, and laboratory clients has included project management, quality control during the design process, project budgeting, and cost control and interaction with building owners and other design professionals. Steven prides himself on closely overseeing a project from initial inception through to the final contractor’s punch list.

A licensed mechanical engineer, Steven holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Fordham University. More than just a member, Steven is also the treasurer and a frequent lecturer of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration, and Air Conditioning Engineers.
