Who We Are

Robert Derector Associates (RDA) was founded in October 1980 by Robert Derector and Leib Koyfman. We are currently a corporation with Robert Derector holding the position of President and Martin Konikoff as Managing Partner. We have nine Partners in addition to aforementioned officers.

We have elected to concentrate our practice on designing high-tech tenant fit-outs, mission critical facilities, commissioning services, and building modernizations. We have pursued this business plan since 1981 and as such have gained a great deal of expertise in these areas.

We pride ourselves on staying with a project until it is complete. As the largest tenant-advocate in New York, we will not stop working until we ensure that our clients are getting exactly what they need. We become involved early on in the process performing lease analysis, building evaluations and due diligence to avoid costly pitfalls during construction. We presently employ approximately 115 persons and eighteen are licensed professional engineers.

Referrals and repeat clients account for the vast majority of our business. We are proud to be a service company that not only meets, but exceeds, our clients’ expectations. Excellence is the cornerstone of our practice.

The firm is licensed to practice in 20 states.
