Tom Brown has been active in the field of telecommunications and IT infrastructure design since 1997. Starting with RDT as an engineering intern while still in college, Tom quickly rose through the ranks to become a designer, project engineer, and, eventually a project manager. In recognition of his accomplishments, Tom was made a Principal of the firm in 2011. During his time with RDT, he has worked in varying capacities on a wide variety of technology intensive projects, many for Fortune 500 companies.
Tom’s focus over the past 15 years has been on large scale, complex IT infrastructure projects. On past projects, he managed the design and engineering of the IT infrastructure for a 900,000 sq. ft. 1400 trading position project for Nomura Securities. Prior to that, Tom was the lead IT infrastructure engineer and Project Manager on a new 180,000 square foot, 1300 cabinet data center for McGraw Hill and the full time IT site engineer for the build out of Barclays 1,000,000 square foot, 3000 trading position headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. In addition to ongoing work for both of these projects, Tom has played major technical and management roles on projects for IPG, Deloitte, and JP Morgan Chase as well as for a number of major law firms, including Paul Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison and Jones Day.
Tom is a graduate of Polytechnic University. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Engineering and is a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer.
